The Wiggle Stitch
A 2×2, two tone keychain that kind of looks like a groovy wave? Sign me up!
This summer, while I was trying to figure out the Queen of Hearts stitch, I stumbled upon this fun looking design.
After I started and crossed my strings, I began weaving the pattern:
Twisty, straight, twisty, straight
And after a few passes, it started to look something like this:
That’s when I knew I had messed up the Queen of Hearts again… but I liked what I had created. So I kept to the pattern and made a few more keychains like it.
That’s honestly how many of these keychains get created. People often ask me how I come up with new stitches, and most of the time, it’s by mistakes like this.
